Hey! So Glad You're Here.
Rev. Raymondo Brady is a native of Salisbury, NC. He is the son of Mr. LC and the late Mrs. Cylista Brady. He is the newly appointed pastor of Sills Creek. He accepted God’s call to preach and teach the Gospel of Christ on November 13, 2011 and represents the next generation of preachers who are wholeheartedly committed to transforming lives for the Kingdom.
Rev. Brady attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 2006, with a concentration in Interpersonal & Business Communications and Political Science. He went on to receive his Master of Science in Technology Management from North Carolina A&T State University with a concentration in Construction Management. He is currently employed as a Senior Superintendent with Balfour Beatty Construction and he is currently completing his 4th year of AME Zion Ministerial Conference studies and is pursuing his Masters of Divinity degree from Moody Theological Seminary.
Rev. Brady enjoys bowling, writing poetry, and building. In July 2014, he married his best friend, the lovely Menika Epps Brady. Their friendship, love, and support of one another is the foundation of a ministry they hope will continue to grow as they journey through life together following God’s lead. Demonstrating true Christian leadership, Reverend Brady aims to transcend all racial, cultural, and economic boundaries – reaching people where they are and winning souls for Christ – by being sincere, hating evil, and clinging to what is good.
As a son of Sills Creek, the first to be afforded the opportunity lead the church in which he grew up in, Rev. Brady gives credit to those who came before him. The Late Reverends Frank Cornelius and Kenneth Rudolph Cornelius, both sons of the Creek played integral roles in the development of Rev. Brady and he gives them both their due credit as it relates to his growth and success thus far in ministry.
Rev. Brady believes that there has always been something special at Sills Creek and he feels that Bishop George Edward Battle Jr. could not have assigned anyone to this charge that better understands the people and that cares more for the success and long term well being of this great church.
He believes that The Creek is Rising and that the waters that flow through this great place will soon touch each of you in some way.
